The Loathsome Dung Eater
Roundtable Hold
Mending Rune of the Fell Curse
5 Seedbed Curses
The Dung Eater is one of the most despicable NPCs in Elden Ring, and his questline reflects his nature. He curses the souls of others using Seedbed Curses, and by following his path you can obtain one of the game's alternate endings — the Blessing of Despair. His quest also rewards you with the Omen Set, one of the best heavy armor sets in the game.
Find him behind the locked door in the room near the blacksmith. He tells you to seek Seedbed Curses.
After collecting at least one Seedbed Curse, find his physical body chained in the sewers. Talk to him and then reload to find him free.
Scattered across Leyndell Capital sewers (3), Volcano Manor (1), and Haligtree (1). Each curse progresses the quest.
Give him Seedbed Curses to fill the mending rune.
After giving all curses, find his phantom invasion near the Outer Wall Phantom Tree. Defeat him for the Omen Set.
Appears after defeating his phantom.
Seedbed Curses are missable after Leyndell becomes Ashen Capital. Do not complete the endgame before collecting all 5. If you kill the Dung Eater in the sewers early, the quest ends immediately.
Pro Tip
Do not kill the Dung Eater — his Mending Rune is one of 4 ending choices. Complete his quest even if you do not use the ending, purely for the Omen Set armor, which has some of the best poise-to-weight ratio in the game.
